25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
Job had been through a lot; he knew suffering. And he went through times of questioning God and not understanding why he had to suffer. Yet here he expresses his faith in his Redeemer. He speaks boldly about the resurrection of the body and eternal life. We too, by faith in Christ, can say these words with confidence! We need not fear death; because our Savior lives, we too shall live.
