Deuteronomy 8:17-18

17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." 18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

This passage really struck me yesterday when I read it, because I think there are a lot of people who think they take care of themselves and deserve what they have because they work for it. But like the passage says, it is God Who gives people the ability to work. God is responsible for all the good things we have. We can do nothing without Him, and would have nothing if it weren't for Him providing for us.
