Ephesians 2:8-9

8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

This is such an important passage since it reminds us we can do NOTHING to earn our salvation. We are saved by grace alone. And our faith is a gift from God. By our nature we are hostile to God and would not come to him. But thanks be to God that He gives us faith. I am so thankful everything depends on Him, and nothing depends on me.
