The Alfred Hitchcock Hour

Originally there was Alfred Hitchcock Presents which was a half hour show. I like this hour format much better. Each episode was like a little mystery story usually involving murder or intent to murder. There were a lot of great guest stars in episodes including Robert Redford, Peter Falk, and so on. I could do without Hitchcock's opening bit. I guess it was supposed to be funny, but I find his little monologues rather inane.
